We do a lot of art around here. And every one of Isaiah's masterpieces usually winds up on my fridge. (See our bluebonnet fingerprint project? It's still a fav.) I love seeing his artwork every time I walk through the kitchen. What I don't love? Clutter.
(Enter: my type A organization problem)
I found a few empty frames after doing some re-organizing in my closet (did I mention I have a problem?) and I immediately thought they'd be perfect to fashion for the fridge.
With the help of my handy-dandy husband, of course.
I simply chose the frames I wanted to use, spray painted them my color of choice, and then Michael went to work.
He drilled magnet sized holes into the back of the frames (one in each corner) and then wood-glued the magnets inside.
Literally an afternoon project, if you have your tools handy.
I just LOVE the idea of "featuring" Isaiah and Samuel's work over the years, be it a piece of art, or even a good score on a spelling test. What a wonderful way to tell my kiddos how proud I am, not just of their achievements, but of THEM, as individuals.
